My instinct was to rephrase this as 'he went down with the sun', but while that might come across as more sinister it doesn't actually say as much. I dig your version. And yes, the title makes it happen.
I like how this is pretty open to interpretation. The phrasing is great and I think the diction is quite simple, which could suggest that jumping in itself is relatively simple, although it's not for the process before that, if you get what I mean?
I like the structure and how that could reflect the difference being staying up and then jumping.. or falling, rather.
i've been thinking about simplicity lately...it seems that many problems and questions are essentially simple, but the solutions and answers (or the attempt at them, anyway) are what cause complication. haha i think i'm just saying that a question is no longer complicated when you stop looking for an answer. how zen.
